In the clubs, the planning for the coming season is in full swing. All important news in the transfer ticker.
This year’s transfer summer has it all. This is because the clubs are allowed to sign players for the first time in two different periods. Due to the club World Cup, the first transfer window for the participating clubs was open from June 1st to June 10th. The regular transfer window then extends from July 1st to September 1st.
Brazil’s Neymar has extended his contract at FC Santos until the end of the year. The club announced this on Tuesday. The 33-year-old had returned to his home club from Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia in January, but so far he has not been shaped because of some injuries.
“I made a decision and listened to my heart. Santos is not just my team, it is my home, my roots, my history and my life,” said Neymar in the announcement of the association for extension. His contract would have expired on June 30th.
Neymar still hopes for participation in the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Most recently, he was missing in the squad of the new national coach Carlo Ancelotti. Neymar has not played for the “Seleção” for almost two years.
Borussia Dortmund is apparently right before the obligation of goalkeeper Patrick Drewes from Bundesliga relegated VfL Bochum. At least that’s what the “Ruhr Nachrichten” report.
As a result, Drewes at BVB will in future take over the role of Keeper number three behind Gregor Kobel and Alexander Meyer. The place is probably free because Diant Ramaj is to be loaned again after his loan to FC Copenhagen to collect game practice at another club. The 23-year-old switched from Ajax Amsterdam to Dortmund in winter for five million euros.
Rayan Philippe is about to switch to Hamburger SV. In the second division club Eintracht Braunschweig, the attacker is no longer taking part in team training – apparently to avoid an injury.
Benjamin Kessel, Sports Managing Director of Lower Saxony, said on Monday evening after the start of the training: For Philippe it would make little sense to do “lonely his rounds”.
The 24-year-old offensive player is not only the focus of the Hamburgers, but with several Bundesliga clubs. Among other things, Werder Bremen and 1. FC Köln tried around him. Nevertheless, the French are drawn to the HSV, according to agreed reports. Currently, the “red pants” with Braunschweig are still negotiating the due transfer fee.
Hannover 96 has secured the services of a German talent for the coming season: Hendry Blank changes from Red Bull Salzburg to the second division. The 20-year-old central defender is initially loan for one year. Afterwards Hanover has a purchase option for the junior international.
