After the success of the PokerStars Open, Italian champion returns to the center of the poker village. From Monday 30 June we start: an appointment not to be missed with the Italian poker Challenge and its Main Event of 700.00 euros of guaranteed prize pool. Here is a program and “reconnaissance”

In anticipation of the big appointment next week, we took a tour of the lake to test the (always magical) atmosphere of the new Live Room of the Casino di Campione on the spot. To welcome us was Luca Pagano, who became responsible for the PokerStars Live Room in 2025. The glance is fantastic: the room is located on the second floor of the casino and the escalator that leads to the entrance is positioned in order to enjoy all the “panorama” between players and noise of the chips at the various tables. After all, in the spotlight, there is the television table. The central room then extends between the right and left wing that brings the total capacity of the possible players in play to decidedly high numbers. On the other hand, the not so hidden intent of champion is to remain a constant point of reference for poker from all over Europe. Temperature chapter: very pleasant and it is not a factor to be underestimated. Often in the mess there is the tendency to the cold, with all the consequences of the case. In Luca Pagano’s house you are definitely well. In any case, a sweater for any eventuality is recommended. During our tour, the freeroll was being held that was offering 3 tickets for the main event of the IPC. Then the deepstack started. Those who arrived at the bottom of both spent over 8 hours at the table!

The Freeroll structure is really excellent. In the first levels of the game you can attack all the roads without necessarily putting everything in the middle. Be careful to know how to manage multiway pots: we have seen many really. The structural collapse is more or less natural for this kind of tournament but comes with elegant delay. The initial dynamics of the Deepstack is very interesting: having a lot of chips the bluffs are almost on the agenda but a partial expectation, without inventing a lot, can be a winning choice in the early stages. Considering the beginning in the late afternoon and the end of the games around 2 in the morning (but with excellent rewards for the effort), this structure is also approved with flying colors. The approach to the Italian Poker Challenge has started and also for this week, satellites and freerolls are scheduled for the 770 euro main event as registration fee. “Normal” single day tournaments are also scheduled to be valid for the June ranking that will have well 20,000 euros of total prizes.
