A motorcyclist was seriously injured on the A59 at Waalwijk on Sunday evening. The man drove a service road when he lost control of his motorcycle. He bumped into the concrete edge of the viaduct, slid meters and hit the Vangrail past the viaduct, after which he ended up on the highway.
The accident happened around a quarter to six on the Altenaweg. The man remained seriously injured on the road surface of the highway. A road user, immediately provided first aid in anticipation of the emergency services.
The man was treated in an ambulance. He was then rushed to the hospital.
The motorcycle was badly damaged and was removed by a recovery company. The police started an investigation.
