With Mathias Pereira Lage (28) from Stade Brest 29 and Ricky-Jade Jones (22) from Peterborough, FC St. Pauli has already presented two new additions to the offensive after several departures. Apparently it shouldn’t stay. According to the Belgian daily newspaper “Het Laatste Nieuws”, the North German and especially coach Alexander Blessin show concrete interest in a commitment of Daisuke Yokota.

This season, the 25-year-old Japanese was loaned by Kaa Gent to 1st FC Kaiserslautern and knew how to please the Palatures in the 2nd Bundesliga with four goals and three templates. In addition to the FCSPS, a handful of other German clubs should also advertise the left foot – this includes the FCK, for which an obligation should, however, be too financially challenging. The Belgian first division club is said to be a replacement of several million euros for the professional, who still has a contract in Ghent by 2027 and acted in the offensive midfield during this season.
St. Pauli did not have to dig into his pocket for the previous offensive access Pereira Lage and Jones-both attackers have been contracted free of charge. Yokotas market value is estimated at 2.5 million euros. A transfer fee of over 3 million euros would make him the most expensive purchase in St. Pauli’s club history. Morgan Guilavogui (27) has only recently had this status. However, the Frenchman had to be handed over again because the RC Lens pulled a buyback option of 4.5 million euros agreed with the Hamburgers – also transfer record on the Millerntor.
The “Hamburger Abendblatt” took up the message from Belgium to Yokota and St. Pauli on Sunday, but could not verify the information. The FCK loan would be the third Japanese to Ryo Miyaichi (80 games from 2015 to 2021) and Kazuo Ozaki (six games 1988/89) among the Kiezkickers.
