Runner -up Antti Sainio20, rose to the awareness of the Finnish sports team last summer at the Kaleva Games in Vaasa as he posed after the 400 meters of the fence race he won with the Bible.
– I did it carefully. I thought I wanted to bring out an important story. One Yankee jumper had done it in the past, so I thought to pull the same, Sainio comments.
What kind of feedback did you get?
– It’s been bad and good. Not much interested if it gets bad.
Is the Holy Book on Midsummer in Kuortane?
– It’s in the backpack.
Is it natural to talk about religion to you?
– I can speak well. I’m not interested in what others think. My friends say that is a good thing, even though they are not in faith.

Sainio won the Kuortane GP race on Saturday with a time of 49.91 seconds.
– Scary, the wind was on the back – quite creepy, Sainio described.
The result can be considered good as the weather in Southern Ostrobothnia is spooky.
– I thought that if it took less than 51 seconds in this weather, that’s good.
The Tampere Pyrinth has a record of 49.36 and the best of the season 49.81 seconds.
– The goal of the season is less than 49 seconds. It’s realism.

– Since December, everything has gone well. There was little injury in the ankle, but it was won.

-I will start university studies in the US in the fall. I talk to Koutsi every day and get tips, Sainio, which is a slim in Texas in the fall.
