After 14 years of life together Ale, director, and Alex, actor, decided to leave each other. A peaceful and consensual separation: “We are well” they run to say to friends and relatives who give the news. Together with the invitation for the divorce party that have decided to organize.
Jonás Trueba summons his father Fernando (author in 1993 of Belle ÉpoqueOscar for best foreign film) in the role of the father of Ale to whom he delivers two important books, In search of happiness by Stanley Cavell, a scholar of the “comedy of re-care” e Repetition by Søren Kierkegaard.

The reflection on the nature of love and on the couple’s relationship then merges to that on cinema (Ale is mounting the film that we spectators look) and evoked ghosts are those of the golden season of the comedy, Cukor, Capra, Mccarey.
A truly original movie by an author who for at least a decade (Los Exiliados Románticos It is from 2015) It reasoned about the love speech.
