Timo Werner recently married. Now the footballer and his wife have spoken about their wedding day – and what feelings came up with them.
A few days ago, Timo Werner married on Mallorca. The former international and his wife Paula have now given insights into their big day and commented on their wedding. Werner, who was most recently loan from Leipzig to Tottenham, spoke in the “Vogue” about the most beautiful moment during the celebrations. He raved: “For me it was definitely the moment I saw Paula in her dress for the first time.”
Then he added: “I was really very nervous – even though I already had a lot of moments in my life when you could be excited. But that was really something very special.” She had her “dream dress”, as Paula Werner calls it. It was implemented for you in the “Harrods” department store in London.
With the result, she was as happy as with the day itself. “The ceremony was very emotional, especially after waiting for this moment for so long. But the atmosphere was also great and after that we were just so happy,” said Paula Werner the “Vogue”.
The couple has been together for eight years. The player and his current woman got to know each other, in his early days at RB Leipzig – conveyed by Paula’s father, who works as a sports psychologist at the Saxons. Paula Werner now said about the approaches of the footballer: “His first news was to me, ‘Please don’t tell your father’.”
It is not yet clear how things will go on for Timo Werner. The contract of the former DFB star at RB is still valid until June 2026. According to matches, Werner in Leipzig should have no future.
