Flamengo with the next surprise

FC Bayern Munich has reached the first stage in the club world championship after a late goal by Michael Olise and an overall mature performance against Ca Boca Juniors. In the evening heat of Miami, the German champion dominated the traditional club from Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires in the 2-1 (1-0) more clearly than said the result. Bayern are thus in the round of 16.
“The result and the three points are the most important thing,” commented Captain Manuel Neuer: “We are happy to start the tournament with six points.” After the game, the Bayern-Toss hurried to the airport to return to Orlando at night.
Musiala has to be injured
There was one concern on board: Jamal Musiala apparently had to get off the square with a calfless injury just 25 minutes after his substitution. “I hope it’s not a bad thing,” said coach Vincent Kompany. But he was at least “a little relaxed, although I don’t know what will be said tomorrow (by the doctors)”.
In addition to Olise, who already scored his third World Cup goal in the 84th minute with a precise shot in the far corner, striker Harry Kane scored 63,587 spectators in the 18th minute. For Boca, striker Miguel Merenstiel surprisingly compensated for 1-1 after a counterattack and a position error by Bayern defender Jonathan Tah (66.). It was the first defeat for the previously strong teams from South America at the tournament in the USA.

In the last preliminary round game against the second in the table Benfica Lisbon (4 points), Bayern is now concerned with first place. Group C was the first to meet the Munich Chelsea or Tunis FC phase at the start of the KO phase, second on Flamengo from Brazil.
The stadium was clearly atmospherically in the hands of the Boca fans. On the square, however, Bayern totally had the feeling of away game under control. The Munichers could not be provoked, remained cool and also stuck robust. There was only one shortcoming: the goal yield. Kingsley Coman (20th), Tah (40th) and Olise (53.) could have increased to Kanes Tor. A directly converted corner of Olise in the 8th minute was not recognized as a goal because Serge Gnabry had campaigned too robust against Boca’s goalkeeper. Bayern captain Neuer had to react splendidly. With his right fist, the goalkeeper kept a sharp shot from outskirts Kevin Zenón (33.).
Interrupted for over two hours: Benfica beats Auckland
After the initial effort and an interruption over two hours, Benfica Lisbon also significantly conquered the blatant outsider Auckland City in the battle for progress in the Bayern group. The Portuguese record champion did not come to the 10: 0 of the German record champions from Munich.
At the end of a long and especially heavily rainy in the afternoon in Orlando in the US state of Florida it was 6-0 (1-0). It was only in the eighth minute of the added time of the first half of Argentina’s world champion Ángel di María with a penalty. Already with the lisbon draw at the start against the Boca Juniors, he had hit the point.
Then it went into the break, which lasted significantly longer than planned. A thunderstorm about Orlando did not make it possible to continue playing among the strict local regulations for sporting events. The fourth game of the Mammut tournament was already interrupted due to the weather. Well over two hours after the end of the first half, the thunderstorm had largely warped with lightning, thunder and rain, so that things could go on. The only 16,000 spectators returned to their places.
Benfica then dominated in the second half. The goal scorers also included the former Bayern professional Renato Sanches and the ex-Mainz Leandro Barreiro, who had a double pack within 120 seconds. Di María again put the end of the penalty.
Flamengo de Janeiro provided another South American success against a European team. After a 0-1 back sand, the Brazilians won 3-1 against Chelsea. The last 20 minutes of the Londoners played outnumbered after a red card against Nicolas Jackson.
