The Belgian cycling professional Jordi Meeus gave the German top team Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe the first day of the day at the 88th Tour de Suisse.
The 26-year-old won the mass sprint in Neuhausen am Rheinfall on Friday after 186.7 km and referred the Italian Davide Ballerini (XDS Astana) and the British Lewis Askey (Groupama-FDJ) to the places. For Meeus it was the second win of the season.
No change in the overall ranking
There was no change on the sixth stage at the top of the overall ranking. The Frenchman Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa-B & B Hotels) is still in the lead, Lennard Kämna was scored at the same time as the day winner and remains fifth with 1:44 min.
The longest part of this year’s Tour de Suisse is on the program on Saturday. The seventh and penultimate stage leads over 207.3 km from Neuhausen am Rheinfall to Emmetten.
