American charts and open -air clubs
The milestones follow each other rapidly for the Heemskerker. Last year he won the American charts with ‘Echo’ together with girlfriend Julia Kleijn. Now he throws the audience at one of the most famous open -air clubs in the world. For Pieter it is one big roller coaster. “You get used to it, but if you had told me this ten years ago, I would never have believed it.”
Yet it is the reality. Where Martin Garrix was once an idol, a dot on the horizon for young Pieter, he recently released music on his label. And now Garrix also invited him to the season opening of Ushuaïa. “A huge honor,” says Pieter.
How did he respond to that invitation? “Depends on what I get for it – just kidding!”, He adds smiling.
