The preparation of the first team of EVC starts during that period. “Volendam has expressed the wish to be able to train with us for longer. That has to do with the fact that they are no longer allowed to train in the stadium. We have not given a blow to that yet, because it must also fit logistically.”
Previously there was artificial grass in the Stadium of Volendam, so it didn’t matter how often it was trained. Due to the transition to real grass, the stadium can no longer be trained. The lawn would be too damaged of the overload. EVC is the nearest club where there was still room to train.
Move to RKAV
In addition to the first team of Volendam, some youth teams also turn to EVC. They can train on the B-field (with artificial grass). Other teams cross the bridge at the stadium and train at RKAV Volendam.
“That has been going very well together for the past two years,” says chairman Vincent Gruwel. “The youth teams use our fields and changing rooms during the day until the start of the evening. Our own teams then train from 5.30 pm and that goes smoothly.”
