Ir. RP (Roald) Lapperre becomes Secretary-General at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Certainty and Nature. The Council of Ministers has agreed to the proposal from Minister Uitermark of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment starts on September 1, 2025.

Roald Lapperre has been director-general Kingdom Relations at the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations in recent years. Before that he was Director-General of the Environment and International and Deputy Director-General for Space and Water at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. He previously worked for more than twenty years at the then Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, including as deputy director-general Agro and Nature. He studied cultural technology at Wageningen University.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
