Jordi Versteegden, show connoisseur of De Telegraaf and Studiogast at SBS 6, was suddenly absent in the podcast in recent days, strictly private. What was going on? “Terrible pain.”
It is one of the most cited podcasts in the entertainment area: strictly private, in which Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden, together with private boss Evert Santegoeds, read through showbiz news. Evert is currently on holiday to Gran Canaria and Jan Uriot takes the honors, but Jordi was not there in recent days either.
Kidney
Why was Jordi suddenly absent? He tells it today in the Latest episode. “We are reunited again, dear Jan. There we are again. Well, I have not been able to contribute for a while, but I did have a bit with me.”
He continues: “It was very strange. I got so much pain in my body in the last few weeks, so that’s why I wasn’t there for two days. It turned out to be a kidney stone. I can tell you: the bottom stone is upstairs, they don’t make the piss lukewarm. Those are all the jokes about it, but it wasn’t that funny.”
Very painful
Jordi has undergone hellish pains. “It was very painful, but I am back and I am happy with that.”
Colleague Jan: “And the stone is crashed out?”
Jordi: “Yes, do you want to see it?”
Jan: “No, I mean: you’ve already left the entire Telegraafgebouw with the photo.”
Jordi: “No, that’s not true. No, I’m not going to show it.”
Birth
Jordi hopes to never have to experience it again. “People who have people in their environment who have ever had it, who know that it is almost as bad as the pain you feel at giving birth.”
He concludes: “Only, I would rather give birth if I have a bit out of it. Anyway …”
Fortunately, Jordi is better again. The first snifters have already been distributed …
