Flyers announced on Thursday on their websitethat the club has made a konkar kit Atte ohtaima37, with the player contract 2025-2026.
Both Ohtamaa and the Flyers last season were a disaster, as the club was excluded from the playoffs despite the renowned and expensive line -up.
– Last season was quite terrible in every way. I want to prove that I am still a good player and I can help the fly on my way to where it belongs, Ohtamaa says.
The defender has won two World Cup gold, Olympic gold, KHL championship and two Finnish championships in his career.
In the second season, Ohtamaa banged 27 points in 53 games in the Finnish Champions League, but with a miserable last season (58 games, 1+9 = 10), he is no longer expected to be miracles.
– The Flyers will make him an excellent general defender who also brings special expertise to the team’s under -power gaming, the Flyers’ Sports Director Kimmo Kapanen describes.
According to Kapanen, the Flyers are still looking for 1-2 defenders in their lineup, after which the team is ready for the season 2025-2026.
