What do the summer 2025 mustard taste like? The jury of four sat down to taste 12 mustard and choose the best version on the grill sausage.
The barbecue season has begun again, which also means choosing the right mustard over the sausages.
There are a lot of mustard on the shelves of the shops, of which we picked up as many as 12 pieces and chose the best mustard over the barbecue sausage.
The test group consisted of four journalists in Alma Media, who gave each mustard a school grade on a scale of 4-10. The final grades consist of the average of these grades.

In the test situation, the mustard was tasted on top of the nak or vegetable. The jury tasted the mustard blind, so they didn’t know what the mustard tasted.
The tallest joint grade was made by the powerful rabbit mustard of Lidl’s product range.
Mild Turku mustard reached almost as high points.
The third best score was Aura’s powerful mustard.
Winner: vbumpy Rabbit mustard
Grade: 8.5
– The composition compared to others. Nothing wonderful and therefore good. I could eat every day.
– This is a good, strong taste. Suitable with many.
– Creamy composition. Enough mustard and powerful.
– A pleasant structure that is quite strong but still not pungent.
2th place: mIeto Mustard of Turku
Grade: 8+
– Good basic button. The strong aftertaste stays in the mouth.
– Thick and creamy, the aftertaste is vinegar.
– A pleasant texture and tastes good. A comfortable kick without disappearing.
– This is probably the most common mustard that you always compare.
3. Place: Plow’s powerful mustard
Grade: 8-
– Now let’s go in a good strong direction. Great barbecue sausage guy.
-The taste resembles the Dijon button. However, the appearance is faulty.
– Somehow a blurry taste. Tastes more like a salad dressing. Fun.
– Pretty vinegar and quite intense taste.
4th place: Matti’s excellent traditional mustard
Grade: 7-
– Flew Basic button. Does not blow up consciousness.
– The taste is sweet and the aftertaste is pretty pungent. The composition is too loose.
– Sweet, clearly home button. Pretty bland taste.
Divided 5th place: mIeto preservative -free kotisin button
Grade: 6.5
– Now it’s good! Yellow and creamy appearance. The taste is strong enough but not vinegar or nonsense.
– Basic buttonhole. This is probably a kid’s favorite.
– Sweet, but pretty tasteless. Mustard has a small stinging aftertaste.
Divided 5th place: Savuhovi Hovisin button
Grade: 6.5
– The taste is sweet and floral. Something I can’t catch is used as a spice. Birch comes to mind.
– Here’s some fruity, sweet taste. The composition is loose and granular.
Shared 5th place: Yyterin mustard
Grade: 6.5
– The creamy composition looks like this tastes good. The taste is more like mayonnaise than mustard. I like, but mustard bad.
– Somehow a bland taste.
8th place: Aura’s sweet organicmustard
Rating: 6+
– Tastes like pickles and vegetable garden. Summer taste.
– Really sweet, is this mustard? Honey flavor.
9th place: sÄlonantori -free kotisin button
Grade: 6
– Sweet mustard with a hint of kick. However, not enough to taste.
– Really sweet start, then a little kick. The best of the sweet mustard.
10. Place: Meira, less sugar and salt -containing mustard
Grade: 6-
– Mild and tasteless, not sweet. Loose and the tongue leave an unpleasant feeling.
– It doesn’t taste like anything. Very mild taste. I wouldn’t buy this.
11th place: EXTRA concentrated Salonen’s dark bottle
Grade: 5.5
– There was a fiery flare in the nose. The start is really strong. Water composition.
– Water and bump, but really hot. Eyes are already leaking.
12th place: French Classic Yellow
Grade: 4.5
– You will make a colorful color. The taste is pungent and strange.
– Looks like a paint or curry paste. Industrial taste.
