An accident with five cars on the A2 between the Vught and Boxtel junction caused a considerable delay on Tuesday morning. At the height of the traffic jam in the direction of Eindhoven, the extra travel time increased to an hour and twenty minutes.
Two of the three lanes on the A2 were closed. According to a road inspector at Rijkswaterstaat, nobody was injured. The traffic was not diverted because it was also busy on other roads. Around a quarter past eight the cars were towed away and the road was released again. The delay then gradually decreased.
Also on the A50 near Sint-Oedenrode, traffic towards Eindhoven had to deal with a delay on Tuesday morning. Due to a broken truck there was a traffic jam from Uden center, which caused a delay of 45 minutes. The right -hand lane was closed. Around a quarter past eight the road was completely open again and the delay took off.
