In this case the novelty was Vesta Blanco, winning gold medal for its fresh attributes, and a balance that makes it unique.
Vesta Blanco is a semi -dry vermouth made of Salteño Torrontés and macerated with herbs that make it a very fresh, balanced and easy to make drink. Among its aromas they enhance chamomile, lemon and anise, transporting us to an eternal summer.
How to take it?
Its creator, Martina Borzi, recommends taking it alone. “The vermouth can be enjoyed only as a good snack if it is served at the right temperature. If we take it very cold, the perception of sweetness is lowered and balances with acidity, leaving as a result a drink that marida with almost any dish.”
And he tells us a little about the history of this drink. “The white was born as an accident. I had done several white vermouth tests but none liked it, and I was not sure what result I wanted to look. One day I took a bottle that had been stored for several months, to the restaurant where I worked. We cool it well and we distributed it in some old copitas among my colleagues. The surprise was total, the balance had been done in the bottle thanks to the time of maturation, and we were taking a white vermouth alone Ice, fridge cold.
The idea of a dry white vermouth part of Martina’s interest in implementing it in classical cocktail bar. He recommends using it in cocktails such as the Argentine Classic Clarito, Dry Martini, or even perfume a Gin Tonic.
Vesta is achieved in gastronomic premises, bars, pizzerias, specialty cafes and wine libraries. It also has online store www.vestavermut.com.ar and instagram @ vestovermut
