Chelsea shoots world champion for the opening win

Chelsea FC won its first game at the club World Cup. However, the Londoners had their efforts against the LAFC.

Thanks to world champion Enzo Fernández, FC Chelsea also won the club World Cup. The Argentinian led the decision on Monday evening with his goal to 2-0 against the Los Angeles Football Club (79th minute). Pedro Neto had previously shot the “Blues” in the lead (34th).

Chelsea was the better team over long distances from the game. In the second section, the eleven of coach Enzo Maresca also had to tremble. Outsiders LAFC, trained by Hanover legend Steven Cherundolo, had its possibilities, such as Denis Bouanga (57.). The Americans, in whom ex-Schelsea star Olivier Olivier Giroud was also used, brought the ball under the goal.

Chelsea could have increased prematurely, but also missed the last precision in the end. So substitute Fernández had to redeem his team. Newcomer Liam Delap had contributed the template for the goal.

Chelsea will meet the Brazilian club Flamengo in the second group game next Friday. The LAFC duels from Friday to Saturday with the Tunisian association Es Tunis.
