In August, the first Miss International Finland in history will be selected. One of ten finalists is a racing athlete Rosa Kilpi28, who believes the sports background is also a trump card on Miss Stage.
“Of course, racing sports have taught me to tolerate pressure, set goals and work with different people in different situations,” he comments.
The Missifinalist competes in athletics, with a 400 -meter run. He only started his sport at the age of 17, which has often made him feel behind others.
– It has been such an experience when you have always been a little underdog, and others have been a lot ahead of you, so it has really raised me a lot as a person.

As the toughest place in the sports career, Kilpi names an over-fit state that prevented him from practicing completely.
– Sometimes I couldn’t even go for a walk and it was definitely really challenging because in a way I had to make life new. I had to stop and couldn’t realize myself in the way that is the most beloved way of all, that is, in the sport and training.
Two sides
Kilpi wants to highlight two sides of his personality in the competition.
– I love pressure, but at the same time I also have such a soft, feminine, empathetic side, and I feel that I can do it now through this competition, even though this competition requires hard work and setting goals.
Above all, he went to the competition to inspire young women in particular. He hopes that everyone would dare to realize themselves just as they are.
“So you can combine racing and missions,” he says.
Kilpi sees his empathy as a strength and character that is proud of. Sometimes, however, it can be stressful because he experiences emotions very strongly.
– I live so strongly with other people, but it is definitely a strength.
In the fall of economics
Kilpi says he will start studying business in Oulu in the fall. He attaches an academic career to be important alongside a sports career.
– It has always been important for me to be educated. I appreciate a lot of intelligence. I appreciate civilization. I appreciate knowing things.
Academic career is an important dream for a shield, and he is particularly interested in business science.
