From the beginning, the German record champions raised no doubt about the victory against the opponent from New Zealand. A star celebrates a strong comeback.

With a goal spectacle, FC Bayern celebrated a convincing opening win at the club World Cup in the USA. The Munich team won 10-0 (6-0) against Auckland City from New Zealand on Sunday evening.

Kingsley Coman (6th, 21st), Sacha Boey (18th), Michael Olise (20th, 45th+3), Thomas Müller (45th, 89th) and a strong Jamal Musiala with a hat trick in the first game after his injury (67th, 73./Foulelfmeter, 84th) met for the Hopeless guests in Cincinnati.

It was nothing more than a loose warm-up for the German football record champion who wants to play for the title at the first club World Cup in the new XXL format with 32 teams. It is already clear that in addition to Bavaria, only the Boca Juniors from Argentina and Portugal’s record champions Benfica Lisbon are eligible for the first two places in Group C.

The Munich professionals in the small TQL stage were most sweating in front of 21,152 spectators at the many goal celebrations. Half a dozen was already full at the break. Above all, the foreign strikers Coman and Olise hit their hooks on the lawn to their heart’s content and delighted the audience. New signing Jonathan Tah, who was able to give the defensive chief of defense, which was not required, earned the first assist in the 1-0 by Coman. The Frenchman was the first goal scorer of the tournament two days after his 29th birthday.

The almost unimaginated captain Manuel Neuer was able to treat himself to sunbathing in his goal for over 90 minutes. After the break, not only young talent Lennart Karl (17) was used. After an hour, Kompany also switched Musiala and Dayot Upamecano, who are supposed to take important roles after longer injuries in the course of the tournament.

Because Kompany divided the tournament into two phases. “You have to win the first tournament first, that’s the group. And then the second tournament starts.” In the KO phase it goes against the big ones like Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid or maybe Borussia Dortmund.
