The years are now starting to count for Vetter. The 32-year-old all-camp star from Amsterdam is taking part in a competition again for the first time in ten months. On the Gouden Spike in Leiden, she only takes action on the javelin throw part. With a distance of 51.67 meters, she finishes second.
Olympic fire
In the meantime, Vetter has been on the Olympic Games three times. Yet she has not yet completely put Los Angeles out of her head. “I think you feel the moment when you’re done with it. When the fire is out, I am gone.”
