Gerard Joling scored the roof tiles with his real -life soap, while Gordon mainly received a lot of criticism. Why is Geer always more popular than Goor? “He does have decency.”
The unprecedented success of the Gerard Joling-Soap will undoubtedly have played a role in Gordon’s decision to cancel the second season of his real life series. And that while he still scored pretty well, Tina Nijkamp said in the podcast The Media Week. “Technically, it was not too bad, but it is very criticized in terms of content.”
Fans
Only Joling was at exactly the same time as Gordon: this is me. “But half a year later and that was a megahit. Gerard Joling has given that so many new fans, who is more popular than ever,” says Tina.
She continues: “And Gordon has lost a lot of fans because he was very angry in that soap, I think, and now seems to be a bit of oblivion. He will of course get a program again with Andy van der Meijde next season.”
Flat and coarse
Colleague Mark Koster, just like Tina Mediacolumnist for De Telegraaf, has little faith in that. “They were so flat at the Songfestival, so coarse, and the beauty of Joling is – yes, I am a clear fan, you realize that – that he is also a decent guy.”
Gerard is a more decent person than Gordon, he thinks. “Gerard makes flat jokes, but he always tells you to that minister. I find that interesting. That you do not do ‘you’ and ‘you’ against Mona Keijzer. And Gordon does that. He is in his how he presents himself.”
Mrs. Keijzer
It will have to do with upbringing, says Mark. “I like that you say Mrs. Keijzer. Then he can say something very bots to her, but he has a kind of elementary decency and that is what people like about him.”
Tina concludes: “Yes and he is more stable in how he is. At Gordon you never know. He is always the same. He is stable in the sense that he is always the same. And at Gordon it is cheerful, one day he is depressed the other day. At least he comes across. It is that Joling is very stable.”
