“There is so much work in it, and that is then torn away in one go,” says the jeweler’s owner. “I can start at zero again.”
The burglary happened just before four hours last night. According to local residents, the burglary was accompanied by loud noise and the sound of breaking glass. The perpetrators struck the window of the store with a heavy sledgehammer and then destroyed the smaller showcases to make the jewelry shower.
Tens of thousands of euros
Inside the store there is a havoc: the floor is littered with glass fragments and the damage to the interior is large. “They have beaten everything short and small, all showcases are broken,” says the owner “They have taken 70 percent of all pearls.”
The burglars left with multiple jewelry. The precise loot is not yet known. “But it runs in the tens of thousands of euros.”
A police spokesperson confirms that there has been a burglary, but does not want to share anything else.
