No trouble
If Danny is asked that question, he responds freely. “No, but that has nothing to do with trouble or something, it’s all fine,” he says in the Weekend.
Nowadays there is hardly any more music in VI, because the big boss John de Mol does not want that because the ratings would then fall. “There was no more music, but I think if I call them tomorrow,: can I come and do my new single? That they think that’s fine,” said Danny.
On your own two feet
Yet Danny would rather not be known as ‘that artist of VI’. “I also like to stand a kind of on my own two feet. I am very grateful that I stood there and I really enjoyed it.”
He concludes: “I have always had a good time there. My wife too, behind the bar. Now it’s a bit different, but I still speak Johan occasionally and then it’s completely fine.”
