Tennis professional Tatjana Maria was a surprise at the WTA tournament in London against the former French Open finalist Karolina Muchova.
The 37-year-old prevailed in the round of 16 against Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic/No. 6) with 6: 7 (3: 7), 7: 5, 6: 1 and continued to collect confidence in the Wimbledon preparation tournament.
In the first round, Maria had eliminated the Canadian Leylah Fernandez, now Kazakhin Jelena Rybakina (No. 4) or Heather Watson (Great Britain) is waiting in the quarterfinals.
Muchova physically struck
