How should things go in Vledder? A lot of facilities in the village are ready for a makeover and to renew the village there are various options on the table. The municipality of Westerveld has had residents from Vledder choose themselves.
The conclusion: the school and restaurant De Tippe are being refurbished. There will also be an improved Lesturgeonplein and a new gym of a thousand square meters.
The municipality distributed a ballot for 1,100 residents of different age categories. A total of 773 responses arrived.
In the new plan, the focus is on sports hall De Spronk, among others. The sports hall is seriously outdated and must be refurbished structurally and technically. It must also be more durable.
Renovation is not possible and so there must be a new hall. “The new gym is suitable for all kinds of sports, but too small for indoor football matches, for example, a room of approximately six hundred square meters is financially feasible for the municipality. For a sports hall of approximately a thousand square meters, a lot of extra budget is needed from outside the municipality. Village interests will try to obtain those resources,” says the municipality.
The school (OBS De Hoekstee), the Tippe and Lesturgeonplein are therefore being tackled. The square in the middle of the village is now poorly accessible for the disabled. Stones are also loose and there is not enough parking space. “Lesturgeonplein is being paved again, equipped with more greenery, extra parking spaces and there will be room for markets and meeting,” the plan can be read.
In total, the municipality of Westerveld has 300,000 euros a year available for the next fifty years to spend in the village. In total it concerns 15 million euros.
In Vledder it is a long -held wish to renovate the village. Plans have been made several times, but just as often they did not perform. That led to the necessary frustrations in the village. “Really, I come across it in minutes of 25 years ago,” said Kreike Wil three years ago on behalf of Dorpsbelangen Vledder.
