The German shoe provider Birkenstock has expanded its presence in the Netherlands. On Tuesday, the company announced the opening of a new store in the Hague.
It is the second shop of the traditional brand in the country after a shop in Amsterdam had already been opened last December. At the beginning of 2023, the company took over its sales activities in the Netherlands on its own.
In the center of the Haag, Birkenstock now offers its products in Hoogstraat 26. There the brand uses rooms with a total area of 130 square meters, which extends over two floors.

The company is driving its “strategic retail expansion”
The unique design of the new store with its original stone windows deliberately takes up elements from the city’s cultural history. “He combines the groundbreaking shapes and the high -quality materials of the Art Deco of the early 20th century with the functional elegance of the Hague School (de Haagse School),” explained Birkenstock in a message.

According to the company, the new opening in the Haag is another “milestone” as part of the “strategic retail expansion in Europe”. The brand now has 40 own stores in its European markets.
