According to media reports, Jamie Gitten is one of those players in the Borussia Dortmund squad who may change in summer. A deal before the club World Cup is now no longer an issue at BVB.
The BVB initially pushes a stop to a transfer from Jamie Gitten to Chelsea, reports “Sky” on Tuesday evening shortly before the change of change. According to the broadcaster, from the Dortmund’s point of view, the previous offer of the blues is not sufficient. Shortly before, it had been reported that Chelsea had been flashed with a second million offer. Allegedly, 50, then even 55 million euros, were offered, which the BVB bosses had been rejected.
The Dortmund Borussia demands more, according to transfer reporter Florian Plettenberg at the short message service X. Apparently 65 million euros including bonuses are to be transferred. Shortly before, his Italian colleague Fabrizio Romano had also reported to X that FC Chelsea submitted a new 50 million euro offer for Gitten.
BVB demands mega sum for Gittenens
Recently, “The Athletic” reported that FC Chelsea with the Dortmund winger was fundamentally agreed on a change in summer. A seven -year contract is said to have been negotiated. For the time being, the Englishman should now help BVB celebrating success at the club World Cup. According to “Sky”, the talks with Chelsea FC could then be resumed in order to reach an agreement from July 1st.
According to media reports, a first offer from the top English club had been received by BVB last week. Among other things, “Sky” had reported that 35 million euros were offered for the 20-year-old. According to “Bild”, however, the offer was 35.5 million pounds, i.e. around 42 million euros.

Meanwhile, the “Ruhr Nachrichten” had reported that BVB would probably give green light for the transfer from a sum of at least 60 million euros. At “Bild” recently circulated that the pain limit could be more at 70 million euros.
Jamie Gittens switched from Manchester City to BVB in 2020, where he has had 106 competitive games (17 goals) since then. His contract in the Ruhr area is dated until 2028.
