At the Moesberg campsite in Nijsleek, a fire broke out in a chalet this afternoon around 1:15 pm. The reception employees alerted the fire brigade.

Upon arrival of the first emergency services, the fire turned out to be broke out, resulting in considerable smoke. Various fire brigade posts were called to fight the fire, but despite the effort, it was not prevented that the chalet was completely lost. An adjacent chalet was also damaged by the heat and smoke.

The resident was still in during the fire and, after breathing in smoke, was taken to the hospital for a check -up.

Nothing is known about the cause of the fire and the emergency services have the situation under control.
