Trainer Chivu is already saying goodbye to Parma on the way to Inter
Christian Chivu said goodbye to Parma on Monday, the club where he started his first job as head coach in February. It is expected that the Romanian, who has a past as a football player at Ajax, will be the successor of Simone Inzaghi at Internazionale.
Chivu (44) won three national titles and the Champions League in 2010 as a player. He took over the duties from Fabio Pecchia in February and held Parma in the Serie A. Until last summer he had worked in the youth academy of Inter.
“I thank the club, staff, players and fans for the belief that they had in me,” Chivu wrote on Instagram. “Together we conquered problems and wrote with Parma History. The club stays in my heart forever.”
Chivu is about to sign a two -year contract with Inter, where his annual salary would be around 2.5 million euros. Earlier, the club from Milan tried to capture the Spaniard Cesc Fàbregas, even before the Club-Wk that starts on June 14.
