Protesters called “ashamed” to the police and some seemed to throw objects on video images. A group of protesters blocked the 101 Freeway, an important traffic artery in the center of Los Angeles. Many protesters wore Mexican flags and signs on which the American immigration services were convicted.

Newsom calls on Trump to withdraw to National Guard

The Governor of California Gavin Newsom mentions the efforts of the National Guard illegal and has formally asked US President Donald Trump to withdraw the troops. He did that through a letter to Minister of Defense Pete Hegseeth, whom he shared on X. “We had no problem until Trump started to get involved,” he writes.

According to The New York Times, police chief of Los Angeles Jim McDonnell said on Sunday during a press conference that the violence he saw during the protests in the last three days was ‘disgusting’. “What we saw the first night was bad, but what we saw afterwards is getting worse and more violent.”

Agents were shot at with fireworks and stones, posts and “liquid of an unknown nature” have been thrown at them, McDonnell says. The police intervened with, among other things, the use of rubber bullets, tear gas and flash grenades.
