A local photographer sees the police and several German police vehicles along the B408, a road that passes into the Dutch N366. According to the photographer it is quiet on the Dutch side. No one has yet been observed there.
Various media reported that citizens owned cars on Saturday evening at the Dutch-German border. This would concern asylum seekers who would cross the border. A new ‘control’ would be planned on Sunday evening.
Call Minister Van Weel
Justice and migration minister David van Weel called on citizens on Sunday not to perform border controls. “I understand the frustration, but I really call on this group not to do this and stop. Let the police and Marechaussee do their work and stick to the law,” says Van Weel.
