A 16-year-old boy from Riel was seriously abused by three peers from Goirle in the night from Friday to Saturday. The victim was kicked in the city center of Tilburg and got fists in the face, the police reported on Sunday.

The boy cycled around the palace ring in Tilburg around a quarter past one in the morning with two friends when the chain of his bike ran off. When they stopped repairing the bike, a group of boys approached them.

They started to scold and behaved aggressively. They only focused their aggression on the boy from Riel. Then the 16-year-old victim was attacked by three boys from the group.

Stairs and clapping
In addition to stairs and blows, he got a knee in his back. When he tried to flee, the three managed to find him. Just at that time a police officer came by. One suspect, a 16-year-old boy from Goirle, could be arrested, the other two ran away.

The Goirlenaar spent the night in the police cell and was heard by investigators on Saturday. The other two suspects (15 and 16, also from Goirle) were also arrested later this weekend. Because they are minors, they have had to make their statements in the presence of their parents and a lawyer. They must appear in court soon.
