“If he does that, then he has to pay the price for that,” said Trump in an interview with NBC News, which will be broadcast on Sunday.

Trump endangered Musk with serious consequences if the tech billionaire would support the Democrats and harm the Republicans who voted for a law that provides for taxation reductions and more money for defense and border control. This week, the budget law led to an open fight between Musk and Trump. The billionaire expressed severe criticism of the law.

In the interview, Trump was asked whether he thinks his relationship with Musk, until recently, is an important adviser to the president. “I go out of that, yes,” he replied. The president also repeated that he is not interested in a reconciliation with Musk.

Within the Trump government, until recently, Musk was responsible for large-scale cuts with its Department of Government Efficiency (Doge).

Earlier today, Musk deleted a message on X in which he linked Trump to the Epstein file.

“It’s time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files,” Musk wrote. “That is the real reason why they were not made public.”

Jeffrey Epstein was an American investor who was accused of sexual crimes and exploitation. He committed suicide in prison before he could be tried.

There is plenty of speculation about influential people from his network who could possibly owed the abuse or were even complicit.
