At Rock am Ring (from June 6th to June 9th, 2025), flying drones above the festival site, as well as within a radius of 100 meters around the locations of authorities and security organizations, is strictly prohibited.
A disregard for this provision can be punished with up to 50,000 euros. In case of doubt, the aircraft may even be confiscated. Possible costs for police operations can also apply.
Both the organizer and the police then refer to the flying of all drones. Police drones and temporary video technology are used in places where surveillance of the site is necessary for safety. This is primarily planned at the entrances to the festival site. These measures were determined in accordance with the data protection requirements of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
40 years Rock am Ring
In 2025 Rock am Ring celebrates its 40th birthday and presents itself with the line-up, but also his look in top form. The festival site at the Nürburgring got an extensive upgrade-with a new fourth stage, LED tower for even more impressive shows and a changed input layout.
The tent places are open on Wednesday, tens of thousands of fans traveled. Now it says: stage free.
