Zoontjes had been with Telstar for more than sixty years and created atmosphere in the East stand. “With his homemade billboards, horn, flag and air guitar, he made an unparalleled atmosphere at every home game,” can be read on the Club page of Telstar. He thanked his nickname for a prediction that came out against the then AZ’67, after which ‘Jomanda Ohooooo’ became a permanent slogan at Sportpark Schoonenberg. In 2013 he was appointed a supporter for life.
Recently, the health of sons deteriorated rapidly. During the Telstar promotion match, he was sick at home, and he also had to let the ceremony in Plein 1945 pass him by.
