Aaron Rodgers is apparently faced with a move to the Pittsburgh Steelers. As several US media unanimously report, the quarterback wants to continue his career at the franchise from Pennsylvania. An official confirmation is still pending.
In the past few months, Rodgers and the Steelers repeatedly expressed themselves publicly. The 41-year-old recently experienced a difficult phase at the New York Jets. After an Achilles tendon tear, it was only used to a limited extent. Although he threw 28 touchdown passes last season, the jets only won five games.
Previously, Rodgers was the face of the Green Bay Packers for 18 years. With the team from Wisconsin, he won the Super Bowl – against Pittsburgh. He was awarded four times as the most valuable player in the league.
In addition to Rodgers, Mason Rudolph would also be in the squad for the coming season. The previous quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields have left the club and both play in New York: Wilson for the Giants, Fields replaces Rodgers at the jets.
