Lewis Hamilton is in a deep crisis in his first season with Ferrari. A Formula 1 size from England sees the record champion over the zenith-and already writes down Hamilton.
At Lewis Hamilton, Formula 1 with Ferrari is currently not running at all. The SF-25 from Maranello does not match the driving style of the 40-year-old-and Hamilton’s attempts to adapt its driving style to the car, only lead to more problems.
In Barcelona, Hamilton was recently so frustrated that he described the Spain GP as “terrible” and even “the worst race of my life”. During the interviews, the Britis also seemed depressed, resigned, perplexed.
“As it looks, Lewis Hamilton is really lost, really lost,” said Formula 1 expert Johnny Herbert in an interview with “InstantwithdraWalbetingSites”.
He thought that Hamilton “with the pure racing driver that he has, would be able to bypass all problems by car. But it seems as if he is in a hole,” said Michael Schumacher’s former Benetton teammate.
Herbert: Hamilton is like Schumacher
To see Hamilton like this is “not nice,” said Herbert, but pointed out that he would not be the first aging Formula 1 superstar who just can’t get it together.
“Nigel Mansell won his World Cup in 1992, went to America, came back in 1994 and it no longer worked for him. It also happened to Michael Schumacher when he had his break and came back – then he was no longer the same Schumacher as before,” the Brit also played on the unsuccessful comeback of the German F1 icons at Mercedes from 2010 to 2012.
For Herbert it is clear that Hamilton has had its best years. “You will always reach your zenith and then the end of the Zenit. It is not nice,” says the former Fia steward, the Hamilton Scuderia rival Charles Leclerc as evidence of his thesis.
“Leclerc is not happy with the car either, but at least he is constantly going on the podium,” said Herbert. Hamilton, on the other hand, did not “have the synergy with his racing engineer he needs. He has not found his comfort zone since the sprint victory in China.”

Formula 1: “Leclerc is Ferrari’s future”
Hamilton surprisingly won the Saturday Quickie in Shanghai on the second race weekend of the season and at short notice the hope of playing a strong role in his first Ferrari season. Except for a third place in Miami Sprint, there were no experiences of success.
“Sometimes you don’t realize it when it is no longer as easy as it was before. But when you look over to the other garage and the teammate is faster, it may click it,” Herbert sees his compatriot in front of a potential aha experience.
“The big ones of sport, get the best out of her car at the zenith. Max Verstappen now does it. With Hamilton it seems as if he couldn’t get the extra he needs anymore, he won’t understand why he can’t because he will have the feeling that he should be able. But Leclerc beats him in the same car,” explained the 60-year-old.
For Herbert it is clear: “Leclerc will only continue to grow and control Ferrari’s future. He is the one you can rely on. Ferrari cannot rely on Lewis Hamilton at this point. It is terrible to say that, but it is the truth.”
