Bayer Leverkusen and FC Liverpool have still not found any agreement on the transfer for Florian Wirtz. Two transfer offers from the Reds are said to have already been rejected by the Werkelf. According to a media report, there is hardly any doubt that the change of the DFB star to the Angeld Road takes place.
The “Daily Mail” reports with reference to sources in Germany that Florian Wirtz’s transfer from Bayer Leverkusen to FC Liverpool is “99 percent through”. What is still missing, in order to be able to announce the deal official, does not show from the report of the British daily newspaper.
Nevertheless, the announcement of the mega transfer is only a matter of time. Accordingly, there is no longer any doubt that the German national football player continues his career on the Angard Road. However, there is still no agreement on the amount of the transfer for the 22-year-old.
Völler also assumes Wirtz change
Bayer Leverkusen is hoping for at least 150 million euros for the exceptional cloister. Liverpool is said to have recently flashed with offers of 100 and 120 to 130 million euros on the Rhine. A spectacular exchange deal is said to have been discussed between the two clubs. Actually, the English champion had hoped to conclude Wirtz against Portugal before the National League semi-final on Wednesday evening.
“It’s no secret that he would like to go to Liverpool. I know the clubs negotiate with each other,” emphasized DFB sports director Rudi Völler on Wednesday of the 1-2 defeat at “DAZN”. But with “such transfers” it is also “often the case that it always takes a while until you ultimately agree”.
However, Völler does not expect the deal between Bayer Leverkusen and the Reds to fail. “Sure, in the end you have the feeling that it will take place,” said the former sports director of the Werkelf: “Florian Wirtz has proven that he is a very, very valuable player. Not only for Bayer Leverkusen, but also for the national team. That is why it also costs a few euros more.”
