The victim was on the back of the motor scooter. The driver of the vehicle was injured, he was taken to the hospital.
The collision happened just after 6 pm tonight. According to a police spokesperson, the two men were hit by a taxi driver on the cycle path. Emergency services have tried to resuscitate one of them on the spot, but help came too late for the victim.
It is not yet clear how the accident could have happened. The police dropped the road at the Calvin College for further investigation. Nothing is known about the identity of the victim.
