Film director Paola Suhonen applied for the May premiere in May From midnight sun to eternity for its movie, the support of the Finnish Film Foundation, but it did not drop a penny.
Suhonen says in the Ukkola program that he has received a special request from the Foundation as a return mail to change the film.
– It’s been a while for this because the project was done for a long time. At that time, it was a trend that a woman had to be at the center. It is said that at least it was advised to wonder if these roles could be the other way around: a woman as a victim, and a man as a factor, Suhonen says.
Suhonen did not agree to the proposal because it seemed like a twisted idea.

Suhonen states that when it comes to a social financier, art would have to keep freedom.
Ukkola asks Suhonen whether he doubts that his own decision has influenced the fact that no support from the Finnish Film Foundation was not supported.
– Well, it may be that they think the manuscript has also been completely shit, so it was not funded, Paola Suhonen laughs.
