A day in Pampus. The fort makes an impression, but there is much more fun to experience. At the vegetable garden I listen to the explanation given to what children. “First you make a breeding jar with a piece of newspaper and this wooden pot press. You wrap a strip around the wood and press it firmly. Then stir your clay pellets and garden soil together, mix with some watercress seeds and kneads everything into a ball.” The children nod and the lady points aside: “There are the things. Someone still ask?” One boy raises his finger: “What is a newspaper?”
