They are very proud at the fishing club in Wieringerwerf. A brand new building is located on the site of the former skating association on the Visparel de Terp site. There is a sturdy fishing jetty, the site is paved and the former ice rink has become a fishing pond.
“All necessary items are in stock for anyone who wants to throw a rod once. Every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon, even without a permit. We offer it to offer young and old an outing to come together,” encourages Lucien Molenkamp of the fishing club.
Will something happen?
About fifteen floats lie still in the water. The sun is shining, umbrellas get up and all eyes are focused on the water: is something going to happen? “It is the first time that we have this group from different healthcare institutions here,” says Lucien Molenkamp. “It’s great to see how they enjoy. We have had children from the out -of -school care before and we notice that there is more and more interest to come and fish here.”
