The handball players of the Hungarian Association Györi Eto KC won the Champions League for the seventh time.
In the final of the final Four in Budapest, they beat Odense HB with 29:27 (20:15), third place went to Team Esbjerg from Denmark, which won 30:27 (17:16) against Metz HB in the small final. German teams were not there at the final tournament.
The Norwegian Olympic champion Kari Brattset Dale was elected as the most valuable player in the tournament. She is “super proud, because there are so many great players here,” she said: “Odense started very strongly, but we found a way to win the game.”
