TSV Havelse has returned to professional football after three years of abstinence. The Garbseners won the relegation secondary against 1. FC Lok Leipzig on Sunday with 3: 0 (0: 0) after extra time and thus rose to the third division for the second time in the club’s history.

“Oh, how is it nice, oh, how is it nice. You haven’t seen something like that for a long time,” the Lower Saxony sang after the final whistle in the Wilhelm-Langrehr Stadium. Successful coach Samir Ferchichi, who took over the team in mid -September 2022 and carefully built up, jumped over happy in the middle of the ball of the player. A few meters away, Leipzig’s kickers sat or lay on the lawn and shed bitter tears.

TSV captain Düker: “It’s just brutal”

“It’s brutal: On the one hand, a team that is incredibly happy, on the other side, locomotive players who cry,” said TSV captain Julius Düker in the MDR interview. The veteran had brought the Garbsener to the Siegerstrasse with the goal to 1-0 (95th). Marko Ilic (109.) and Lorenzo Paldino (114th) scored the other goals for the Lower Saxony, who had already been very close to the victory in the relegation first in the Saxony (1: 1) after a late lead.

Four references in the final phase

In the second duel with the master of the Regionalliga Nordost, the title holder of the north season was the better team over long distances of the game and had already deserved victory after a regular season. In the end, the Ferchichi-Equipe also benefited from three Leipzig references: Tobias Dombrowa (80th) and Luc Elsner (118th) saw the yellow-red card, Pasqual Verb (116.) even red. In addition, Havelses Paldino had to go with the “traffic light card” from the square (115th), since he had undressed the jersey at the goal celebration.

TSV with a clear increase in opportunities

The second third division climb of the TSV after 2021 on the relegation had already been indicated from the middle of the first section. The home side increasingly tore the scepter in front of 2,300 spectators after a balanced initial phase. Havelse acted in the forward movement and more compelled than the overplayed opponent.

The sovereign master of the Regionalliga Nord was very close to the tour. In a free kick from Besfort Kolgeci (29th/post), a shot by Robin Müller (36./De to keeper Andreas Naumann) and a header by Emre Aytun, which was clarified on the line of Farid Abderrahmane (38.), the TSV fans had already screamed on their lips.

Düker breaks the spell over the number

Even after the change of sides, the TSV was the more dangerous team. After the dismissal against Dombrowa due to repeated fouls, the Lower Saxony increased the pressure again and already had good chances to win in the regular season.

In the extension, Düker then broke the spell with a shot from around 20 meters, which did not seem entirely unsustainable for the previously outstanding keeper Naumann. Hernach didn’t have much to do, so that the further goals were almost only a matter of time.

Havelse has to move back to Hanover for home games

While the Saxons failed in the relegation for the second time after 2020 and have been waiting for 27 years to return to professional football, Havelse is fighting for points again in the new series on a national stage.

Then, however, as already in the season 2021/2022 at home games in the World Cup Arena on the Maschsee of Hannover 96, because your own stadium does not meet the requirements of the German Football Association (DFB) for League Three. Unquestionably a competitive disadvantage for the club, which also has to bake very small buns in comparison with all future league competitors.
