A birthday gift that employees received from Efteling on Saturday is already for sale on Marktplaats. The amusement park celebrates that it has been around for 73 years and therefore gave all employees an ‘exclusive’ flag line that will not be in the store. A number of employees mainly see the chance to earn some money from it and that seems to work pretty well.
On Saturday, Efteling employees received a flag line with fifteen flags. Many Efteling enthusiasts immediately recognize the flag colors. They are the colors of the company clothing of the park: blue, orange and white.
On Saturday afternoon there are about twelve advertisements on Marktplaats that can be offered. Most sellers do not give a target price, the bids range from around thirty to no less than three hundred euros.
90 kilos of textiles per week
Worn pants, a torn blouse or stains that they no longer got out of a jacket. Efteling collects around ninety kilos of corporate clothing per week that can no longer be used in the current state. “The largest part is processed into Efteling-Vilt and a small part we make Huyverwoud-clothing,” writes Efteling Online.
The Efteling felt has been transformed especially for the 73rd anniversary of the amusement park into a flag line that the three thousand employees have received as a gift.
Rather money than flags
But for some, the flag line is therefore worthwhile worth money. “These flags are exclusively distributed to employees of the Efteling The flags will not be in stores and therefore very unique for your collection!”, States in the description of one of the advertisements.
An employee from Breda also throws it on the exclusivity of the flags: “In honor of 73 years of existence of Efteling: a unique pendulum made of recycled clothing and other clothing! Please note, this item is not for sale in stores and is exclusively issued for employees only!”
