Natacha rode a turn earlier the roundabout. The girl was on the way to school and had priority, but was overlooked by a truck driver. NH spoke with the mother of Natacha, Irina Plesoianu at the end of February.

It puts her that the municipality of Uithoorn has not done too little in her eyes to make the roundabout safer. “It feels like my daughter’s death means nothing for the municipality of Uithoorn,” she said.

When an investigation shown just after the accident that the roundabout is ‘too complex’, Uithoorn already placed a plate and made thresholds. According to Irina, those measures do not work much. “I come here almost every day, because I feel my daughter close by.
