Suzan & Freek get the urgent advice from Evert Santegoeds for a second opinion to travel to Frankfurt. “There is a very famous doctor who specializes in lung cancer.”
The way in which Suzan & Freek announced that he is incurably ill and ‘there is no more chance of healing’, suggests that a whole process has already preceded it. “Of course, such a judgment that came now has not been determined after an hour of an hour. So he lived with a secret for a while,” says private boss Evert Santegoeds.
‘Has been playing for a long time’
Suzan & Freek were three times in the Ziggo Dome last weekend. They did not yet know that Freek was terminal, although they will have already known that he is sick. “What a mix of emotions these people have experienced in recent weeks – because of course it has to play – with each other,” Evert continues in the podcast Strictly private.

Perhaps the OM will still pay for one second opinion to go, says Evert. “Of course you tend to look in America or in Germany. In Frankfurt there is a very famous doctor who specializes in lung cancer. Whether you can still go there.”
