The controversial plan to turn Recreatiepark West-Friesland into Opmeer into a business park or residential area for labor migrants was removed from the agenda on Wednesday evening. The college withdrew the proposal after it turned out that the city council was divided to the bone. Hundreds of holidaymakers and dozens of people who live there illegally would be the victims.
