Last year there was an average hotel occupation of 90 percent over four days. Then the extended weekend coincided with the end of the May holiday in French -speaking Belgium. The nights Thursday on Friday and Friday on Saturday currently have most bookings, with an average occupation of 80 percent.
“We are still aiming for extra last-minute bookings for Friday and Saturday night given the predicted good weather for Saturday and Sunday,” says Westtoer.
